Nada AbdElAziem

Hello! I'm Nada, a passionate product manager with a journey that began in 2013 when I graduated with a BSc. in Computer Engineering from Ain Shams University. My fascination with the tech industry was driven by its dynamic nature and the belief in technology's transformative power. However, I always sought roles that allowed for direct human interaction and the building of meaningful connections, as authenticity is a core value for me.

My career started as a teaching assistant at the School of Computer Science at Misr International University, where I discovered my love for guiding others. However, I was seeking deeper industry involvement which led me to Dell EMC where I joined as a Technical Support Engineer. As a founding member of the storage virtualization support team in Cairo, I handled complex cases for high-profile customers, honing my problem-solving skills under pressure. Within two years, I was promoted to Senior Analyst, mentoring newcomers and supporting Recovery engineers on intricate issues.

Driven by a desire for more customer interaction, I transitioned to RSA Security as a Technical Instructor. There, I developed training curricula and delivered technical training, working closely with Subject Matter Experts including Product Managers. It was this role that exposed me to product management, sparking a new career aspiration which I'd started working towards when 2020 came with some significant challenges, and setbacks.

Despite the challenges of 2020, including the pandemic and RSA's sale to STG, I was offered the opportunity to lead the educational services department for Outseer (An RSA Security company). As Technical Education Program Manager, I developed strategies alongside C-level executives, further refining my stakeholder management skills.

​

In 2021, I achieved my goal of moving into product management at TrianglZ, a software consultancy. I managed product strategies for eCommerce and EdTech clients, leading cross-functional teams through entire product lifecycles. This experience paved the way for my role at elmenus, one of Egypt's most successful scale-ups.

​

At elmenus, I worked on all the company's products, focusing on fleet and delivery. I led cross-functional scrum teams to optimize delivery experiences and overall delivery time. Collaborating with the data science team, I developed models to optimize delivery routes, predict cooking and delivery times, and enhance delivery location efficiency. I also led data analytics projects to build payroll pipelines and support fleet operations. On the user side, I improved the post-ordering experience, helping users track their orders and reducing contact center hit rates. This role was a significant milestone in my career, which I had to leave to move to the UK with my partner.

Today, I am a Product Owner at TUI-owned First Choice, where I lead the Search & Book teams. As the first product owner, I worked with the product lead to define the role within the First Choice business and build the Search and Book teams. Over the past few months, I have delivered features like Apple Pay, First Choice Flex, and Search by Month. I also lead strategic projects, working closely with the wider TUI business.

Throughout my journey, I've consistently sought challenging environments that push me to grow. I thrive on complexity and am always eager to take on more responsibility. At this point in my career, I'm looking for opportunities to step up and make an even bigger impact.
