Intro
elmenus is a food discovery platform that helps people discover and order the food they will love. We answer the global existential question of “What will I eat today?”. For the past 8 years, elmenus has become the leading food discovery platform in Egypt by providing over millions of users every month with comprehensive restaurant information including menus, reviews, food photos all powered by a machine learning food recommender that personalizes the experience on the dish level to users.
We have been largely focused on the food delivery and online ordering experience on elmenus and our traction has been exponential. Now we are focusing on reinventing how to make the discovery and ordering experience more social.

The Assignment
Your assignment is to answer the question of what are the best dishes based on social validation factors. These can be through users’ social networks, top users or neighborhood food experts.
To successfully make the food discovery experience socially validated, you need to consider what kind of message will help the user make a decision and figure out that this dish is worth trying out and has been trusted by other users before. To complete the social experience, users will need to be able to view other users profiles, explore their favorite food and be able to get relevant recommendations from users they follow.

Lay out the persona, motivations, problems and context

Propose a 6 months roadmap for all the social features including user profiles, social feeds, content (reviews and photos) sharing and gamification features
